We are not a faceless franchise; we are your neighbors. Our founder and head instructor, Denny Strecker, has dedicated more than three decades to working with children from communities just like Bloomfield Township. In our experience, the challenges parents face are universal, and the desire to see your child succeed is something we share deeply.
Our kids-only focus is intentional. It creates a safe, encouraging, and effective learning environment where your child is surrounded by their peers, allowing them to build friendships and grow in confidence without the intimidation of older students or adult-themed programs.

Parents from schools like Conant Elementary, Way Elementary, Bloomfield Hills Middle School, and others tell us they see a marked improvement in their child's focus, respect, and confidence after enrolling at Mastery.
Absolutely. We want every family to feel certain this is the right place for them. That’s why we offer a free 1-on-1 introductory lesson followed by a free 2-week trial, with no pressure or obligation.
Yes. In our 33 years of experience, we’ve found that a structured, positive martial arts environment is one of the best ways to help a shy child find their voice and build unshakable self-confidence. Our instructors specialize in this.
While sports are great for physical activity, our program is designed to build a child’s character from the inside out. Through our unique Personal Power Plan™, we partner with you to develop the specific life skills—like discipline, focus, and leadership—that your child needs to succeed for years to come.
For the best results, most of our Bloomfield Township families attend classes twice a week. We offer a flexible schedule with classes available Monday through Saturday to fit your schedule.
