Teaching Troy Kids Karate Since 1992
Denny Strecker opened Mastery Martial Arts with a conviction most schools still don’t share: children are not small adults. A 4-year-old, an 8-year-old, and a 12-year-old learn differently, get discouraged differently, and grow differently — so he built Troy’s only kids-only martial arts school around those stages instead of mixing children into adult classes.
Thirty-three years later, that decision has shaped hundreds of Troy families. Some of his first students now bring their own children to the same mats. In 2025, that legacy was recognized when Mastery was voted Best Children’s Martial Arts School.
